I'm sick of this rain
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm over it....officially...I'm done..dusted!!!!

I open the hatches

I close the hatches

(I bloody well turn the hatches over).

And still I get the timing wrong. Looks good to go for a quick dash to the shower...inclemency is not dooming...I leave the hatches open...gggrrrr....I come back and YET AGAIN, I have a wet bunk. I am incontinent before my time!!!!!! The quandary...sleep in the wet spot or change the sheets? And I thought I'd left all that behind when I entered upon this single life??!!

I grew mushrooms ....no shnit....in my boat from all the moisture...pretty little orange golden beauties that one would expect to find on the forest floor, not in a boat!! One of life's mysteries.

My girls play cello and violin through school. Itsy bitsy problem with such sensitive instruments is that they don't like temperature variations or humidity so for fear of becoming horribly out of tune or snapping a string, so, whilst the girls and I have sweltered in the body of the boat, 'Chelsea' and 'Veronica' have languished in their 24-hour a day climate-controlled aft cabin. Yes, I DO believe I have gone nuts!!!!

Have I seen everything there is to see on a boat now...not bloody likely...just a little morsel of life aboard during a rainy season.

Would I have it any other way? No! My only lament is that autumnal touch of southeast in the air every morning intuitively makes me want to cast my lines and head north for the cruising season. Why lament? It is something the girls and I cannot have...this year at least. School, uni, 'getting ahead'.
