Why would we want to spoil it by making us like every other overcrowded enviromentally ruined neighbour?
The quality of the enviroment and surrounds is inversely proportional to immigration.
Do you still want to be able to catch seafood, enjoy our rivers and outdoors or is the ideal another lifeless sea and polluted waterways?
Immigration is a sugar hit for the economy because the immigrants are in the tax paying/ employmant age (adults) straight away usually. But it's just like sugar. It does nothing for our economys' deep fundamentals. we are not growing through innovation, specialisation or any other ideal. Just the highest immigration rate in the western world. It makes us reliant on this immigaration to maintain growth. It certainly helps politicians get re elected and the rich get richer. But what about the rest of us?
Well im not into sharing. And whilst I have some mild compassion for those let fortunate i think it should extend to technology, advice, CONDOMS, education, stabilisation and military support. But not immigration. The world really is an overpopulated unhealthy place, especially close to us. I'd hate to see australia go the same way. Dick smith is championing this cause.
