Seems a fairly small number doesn't it (which is why most of us don't really think or care too much about it). I have been reading a few things about this and the discussions in Paris and the thought struck me ,what is the average temperature of the globe? . Seems it is 15 degrees celcius . So then i thought that lil ol 2 degree agreed ,"we'll aim for that hopefully well cope with that " rise is a whopping number ,thats a 15% increase on the current global norm .
Crikey how selfish and stupid are we to think thats OK .It isn't OK at all in my book . We have the means and technology to take radical action now . Sure it will cause some major economic challenges short term but we are already paying a high price for universally agreed climate change now and the future cost both short and long term even if we can keep temp increase to 2 degrees is massive . It is insane for us to continue to give scant regard for this problem that is well and truly with us now and will continue to wreak more havoc .
