Hi guys
Bought a used 14x23" WOW Muon yesterday. Used then and also this morning. Following ins and outs in choppy conditions this morning I realised one of the screws for the carry handle was loose. Removed the screw and noticed the screw was straight into the carbon, no screw mount. After checking pics online noticed that the board does not actually come with a handle and someone has installed one on the rail by screwing straight into the carbon.
Was able to suck water out of both holes and after leaving in the sun for 5 mins further water came out and could also hear the fizzle sound.
Would be great if people might recommend best course of action. I was planning on leaving the board to dry for a couple of weeks before filling the holes with 24hr epoxy resin, possibly with some talcum powder mixed in.
Have also noticed some small blistering close to one of the holes and on the underside of the board. Is this a major issue or can I forget about it?
Have attached pics.
Just a note that I think the Muon is great. Very stable for 23", cuts through chop well and picks up bumps nicely. Haven't actually used it in flat conditions yet. Hope it glides well :)
Thanks in advance for any tips/recommendations.
Jon
