help! Uphauling foil board
Hi,
used to windsurf 10 years ago and now getting back into it via windfoil. Nowhere near me to try kit, so after tons of research, youtube etc decided on,

slingshot levitator 150 (6"6 / 33 inch)
windfoil V3, with infinity 99 wing
rig used in this example -> 5.7 sail
My weight : 97kg/215Lb
My height: 5"11

Ignore waterstarts for this example. I want to be able to uphaul foil board.

With windsurfing i would put 1 foot either side of mast whilst facing mast and that would give good balance. with foil board the mast is so much further forward. where do you stand? I expected this kit to be stable and floaty, but submerged easily under my weight and the weight of the foil seemed to cause back of board to sink quickly. This is not stable at all and I'm struggling to find balance point. its worse when i do find balance, but once uphaul starts it can quickly tip to back of board and sink. Feel like I should have gone with levitator 160. I'll persevere and sure it'll click, but any tips welcome please. Thanks

Board build question on rails .?
Iam shaping a board from scratch. I'm using hand tools. The rails have me scratching my head . my intent is not hard, not round but 80/20. I have room to work as iam not at my widths yet.
how can I maintain a consistent shape, and should I alter it toward the rear?
its a FSW shape 105liters plan, generally like a Simmer Quantum, Tri fin.

At this point some of the blank looks to be FAT, but I'm afraid to remove too much, IM using a Skate as thinckness guide, by a measure .

Shape and rail suggestions, most welcome . Other pick on me remarks ok, I have thick skin sometimes.

Big guy's one board windfoil quiver
At 225 lbs/ 102 kg I always feel like when ever I windsurf or windfoil on free ride gear there is just not enough float especially in light air. I also am not interested in super wide full blown race boards with 10 meter sails. So I designed and built this board to suit my needs for a one board windfoil quiver.

In sub foiling conditions this board it is super fun to cruise around on and even do light air free style as it feels like a long board in a way because of all the float. In marginal foiling weather, it shines with windward ability and early lift. In a breeze, it's short length and good balance make it nimble and easy to steer. I rode a low volume narrow tail board for a couple of years now and it made my feet fatigue and just wore me out. This board is so much more fun and easier in all conditions. Stay tuned for more reports and maybe a video.

Many thanks to David Ezzy for his input on the design.
