I took this little movie last week on the claypan to demonstrate the Lefroy Mini steering. this one is 290mm wide, and fits my size 9 work boots .
To demonstrate the amount you need to steer , and hence the lack of need to have bicycle handle bars, I did a 90degree tack with one foot and then head off downwind and gybe .top speed was 72kph.
the problem with a handheld camera is that you cant concentrate on sailing AND filming.
