I tried my first wooden SUP paddle.
The other day I was heading back from my daily paddle and to my surprise..saw another SUP'er..(I looked up looking for a blue moon)..

..His name was Johnathon.
He was on the Starboard 11'2" Ultimate Blend (nice looking board)..but the first thing that I had noticed is that he had a wooden paddle..I was dieing to try one so I asked for a go and he said sure.
It was too short for me but I was surprised at how light it was..It didn't wobble or flutter..and had a nice spring to it..Here's a couple of pics.
It was an Aussie made SUP paddle from these guys in Queensland..
