Hi, I have keept the can of "kill rust" for maybe a year or more, no real need to keep it on board but I did, OK.
No idea what triggered corrosion, would blame ingredients because NO OTHER chemicals containers stored in the same box-shelf containing different chemicals were not open/leaking or in another way be involved in Aluminium can corrosion.
