Need a seat, as aluminium tube aint too comfy!
So, I get my landsailer bits from my uncles hay shed, where it has been sitting dormant for 10 years.
Wheels, check. Chassis, check. Mast, check. Steering, check. Seat. . . . hmmm. No seat.
I wasn't really that fond of it anyway, given it was an old plastic school chair screwed to a piece of aluminium.
So I was thinking I might investigate the options of making one. Now given it will be a one off I was looking at fibreglassing techniques for one off projects and came up with foam sandwich.
Has anyone had any experience with using this technique and or fibre glass woven cloth? It looks to be relatively straight forward, but I'm not sure of what the finish would be like.
Adam.

QLD Lefroy Mini
I have decided a lefroy mini is the go due to ease of transport ,similar specs to the blokarts (making racing interesting) and to support what could become a very interesting class. With this in mind I hope Corey goes ahead with his plans for a couple of lefroy minis and I might be able to make a race of it (unlike the beating he gave me in the 16 sq). As you can see below I have only started construction this afternoon.
The first 3 photos are a timber mock up to look at room, stress and structural problems
The forth is the first weld of the project
Axle cut and welded
