Photographer on beach = Monkeys on kites
No joke.
Every time a photographer pops out to the water's edge to take photos of kite surfers, suddenly everyone is a "star" and try and do ridiculous moves and jumps. Most of course look like wack jobs and some jumps are even stupid altogether to the point of kites hitting each other. Seems to be worse when cameraman has a zoom lense!

Please!

If you see a photographer out there, mind your own bloody business and stay safe!

Hello All,

I'm faily new to kiting, just getting my first runs up, and just starting to edge up wind, had my lessons at Pinnaroo in the chop
, saw Point Walter on 'near maps' with kites in action, is it best on easterly's there! as I have not been yet but fancy a go!
If someone could reccomend best wind range, and inform me of any hazards would be great???
Or any negatives if any?? ah also what's the parking like, is there alternative parking when the nearest one is full, and is there a parking fee??

Point Walter Rocks

A. It is a great place to kite on an E or ENE
B. The rocks are not deep fin friendly.

I was having a very nice time (option A) this morning 7:30-8:30am

until it ended in tears when I made contact with an outlying submerged rock (option B).

I thought the fins were supposed to break before they ripped the fin box out of the deck.
