So the night before my first trip down south I check my boards and guess what, someones managed to rip a massive long ding down half of my short board. It's repairable but is gonna take time so I've stuck tape on it and hoping for the best. Forecast looks pretty average so hoping I don't need to take it out. What pisses me off is that it was a great board!

Now my other a fish, has this hairline crack that does not even seem to go into the foam. More like a scratch really.

So my question is, when do you have to take out the solarez and start fixing the dings? I'll post pics later but can a ding be left if it hasn't broken through the glass?
