Hi,

If I am comfortable on a Surf SUP 31 wide and 155L and no real desire to go any higher performance, what width should
I be considering in a race style SUP? I really only want to use it for longer paddles and very small surf conditions and maybe participate in a social style paddling event. I was thinking 12'6 long

All the race style SUP's seem to be only 27 to 28 wide and I am nervous about going that narrow.

I know I can demo, but I remember when I started off on a surf SUP the demo was easy as it was flat water, once I got out in the waves it was a whole different story.
