I know the Goldie beaches are in a terrible state, but did I just here the channel 9 news correctly? Is there debated now around charging a $2 fee to go on the beach to pay for repairs? Can't support that one.

I'm a little uneducated on the dynamics behind sand movement, but considering there is so much sand now on Kirra from the Tweed bypass sand pumping, would stopping this pumping move the sand from Kirra on to the beachies, or would that just make it worse. This is how it was in the good old days as in 25 years I have never seen the beachies (or Kirra) in such bad condition.
