After class 5 building was over Landyacht pulled this little guitar shaped yacht out.
I was informed this is a 'Micro Mini' 1100x1100 named 'Black Oops'
I am interested in building one of these are they a ridiculously small but looks like so much fun for big and old.
I raced home with this tiny yacht put on some wheels and set-up some rigging.
Here are some pictures from the claypan on Sunday. Sorry no action shots as I was out there solo.
My goals were to:
-find out how this thing handled and performed
- not crash
-go 50kph
-not break anything
- have fun.
I achieved 3 out of 5:
- Yacht handled well with shock cord steering dampner steered well but found it difficult to point upwind
-didn't crash

-could only achieve max speed of 47.7kph

-broke the seat as cracked the join doing high speed high G turns ( I will fix it before I return it Landyacht)
-lots off fun

would be great to see a small fleet of these buzzing around the lake.
Notes:
-Fibreglass boom was too flexible when sheeted in hard as it bent upward increasing belly in the sail
-Experimented with moving pulley blocks on the boom reduced flexing
-Sail tended to backwind as speed increased.
-Good fun with weight cranked back and front wheel just touching.
Overall wonderful little yacht to sail for big and old. The 'Micro Mini' is now on my build list with: new mini5.6, class 5, and Big wheels for class 5.
