I think car styling took a nosedive in the 1970s and has never recovered. I always prefer older shapes to modern styling. What do others think? Am I nuts or am I right?

No doubt hard SUPs have the best performance but storage, transport are a big issue. Driving with a big SUP on your car roof increases fuel consumption with 10% at least and most people don't live near the sea or lakes.

The performance of iSUPs is ever increasing by applying better technologies to stiffening the boards and by adding on release rails - still less performing than hard SUPs.
As most people in the world are living in apartments, condo's with hardly any storage room (or even a possibility to get a 10' x 30" board into the elevator) and have smaller cars, it seems the market for iSUPs could be bigger.
Additionally an iSUP can be taken for a vacation by car and plane.

So what's your opinion?
Will hard SUPs or iSUPs rule the market in sales ?

This New Years the wife is demanding that she comes along on the surf trip, therefore will need to carry the SUP on the roof. I have some FCS soft racks that I used to carry my surfboards with, do you reckon that they are strong enough to take a SUP?

I ask because I drove past a guy who was having a 'mare the other day, looked like the thing was trying to take off!

Might come in handy for some Supra owners, just used a soft roof rack at the front and an occy strap at the back, works well.
