Round one of the Victorian Wavesailing Series is ON tomorrow Sat 10/09/11
Forecast is for SW 20-30 knots and swell should be around half mast high in Cat Bay.
Location:
Right Point, Cat BayBriefing will be at
9:00 am We will aim to make a start early while the tide is high, as soon as there is enough wind and there are no surfers in the water we will start the expression sessions.
If the wind doesn't get above 20 knots we will not send people out in a competition. Please note we will run both amateur and expert divisions however Right Point is certainly not for beginners, conditions will suit intermediate to advanced sailors only. There will be no beginner clinic at this round.
Right Point is a surfers break, and we need to be very careful not to run heats while there are lots of surfers in the water, which won't be a problem in +20 knots
Right Point is true down the line wave sailing, and when it's on it provides some of the best wavesailing available.
Please check the location guide on the website for more details on how to get there:
