I can confirm the 5.5 Frigate is very good at going upwind and super stable in the gusts. I am 110kg. I have not tried a hybrid yet.

I own this board. It is my wing board at 110kg that I picked up after riding it in the spring of last year, and I love it. It is great at getting going early, so I think it will be perfect for your early parawinging board. I am a couple of months into learning PW, and have a '24 Armie DW that is 18 liters over my weight I picked up recently to make learning easy, especially in light gusty winds. The Frigate is very stable when overpowered and goes upwind great.
