If the wind really is 9 kts, and the sail is 4.2, then the rider must weigh only 100 lb and pump like Arnold to get going. Once up, fine, but it's the getting up that's the challenge.

If you want a "silly" setup, but one that works really well for a friend of mine who is a retired Boeing engineer see this:
"Sailworks 4.5m Hucker, CanardroFoil with Starboard 650 SQCM main rear wing and Sabfoil 607 (440 SQCM) front foil wing, Exocet RF 81 windsurf foil board."
Yup, it's a canard. He has been foiling canards for several years already. He has it down to fine science.
