I've been contemplating a ventis 8m or similar for light wind days, how much range does it add for someone who already has a 6.5m dlab unit and can pump ok?

Modern phones (e.g. iPhone or Samsung) have LiDAR, a scanning app could be the easiest approach.. I use my phone all the time to measure things.
