Took the offer of loaning the different coloured Blitz 104 and I will probably keep it rather than wait for the other colour - the colour is only on the tail.
Went out on it yesterday. No experience of the Blast, my usual small board is a 105 FSW and the only other small freeride/freerace I have used is the Severne Fox during a weeks holiday almost 5 years ago so it's hard to say how it compares to anything else. I thought it accelerated quickly on to the plane and when a gust hit you could feel the board accelerate. The deck shape was quite cancave which felt odd tacking in a bowl initially. Carved nicely too. Came with a Duotone Prepreg F-Ride 36cm fin

Apparently my board is stuck in Qatar - could be there a long time if it even makes it out in one piece

I have tested them all. Take the 1200. It is magic.

I actually watched your test of the 850 (minutes before seeing this post) and saw your great summary of the different wings in the comments. I left a question asking if you had tried the 300 stab

Thanks Guern and Gurra. As above, I was thinking of going for the 1200 wing and 300 stabiliser

Thanks John. Everyone I have spoken to with a 1000 has said they preferred it to the 1400. I'm guessing the Phantasm PTM foils are a progression from the 1000 and something to be considered in future rather than now?

There is an SLS version but Duotone are keeping their cards close to their chest and even named the board after one of their foils ?? so Google duotone Blitz and that's what you get

I pre-ordered an orange Blitz 104 DLab from a shop in the UK at the start of December. Bit of a gamble as there is so little known about it! Still waiting. One of the staff phoned me to check in with me and I hadn't been forgotten and that the whole MTO DLab is a pain. Apparently boards they ordered have been sent to German shops even though the Germans ordered at a later date - not sure how they know of this. He did say some SLS boards had arrived. It didn't sound as if they had been expecting them. The lad in the shop told me he was excited that his board had arrived but when he looked closer it was an SLS version.

The week after they phoned again to say a purple Blitz 104 DLab has rocked up at the shop unexpectedly so they have kindly offered that to me to use until mine shows up - I think they're embarrassed about how the orders are being fulfilled.

Before the shop told me SLS had arrived, I only knew of an SLS version via this article

Surf magazine did have a recent insta post showing boards on test and one was the Blitz. Hopefully that will be published soon...

Thanks.

Found this Netherlands based shop
www.windfoilen.nl/en/products/severne-redwing-front-wing/

Interestingly, they don't mention the 1000 at all. They say the modern shaped, higher aspect, 1200 has made the 1400 obsolete (which agrees with your comments) and they also recommend the 300 stab with both the 1200 and 850 due to it having a modern shape too.

I'm thinking I'll go for the 1200 and 300 and see how I get on

All feedback is useful! If weight is a useful thing to know, I was 93kg last time I foiled last summer in the UK but I have since dropped to 78kg

Out of curiosity, with the standard redwing being 1400/350, why did you have the smaller 250 stab with the 1400 wing? Was it recommended or was it just what the shop had?

I've been using the standard Redwing package 1400/350 on an Alien 125 with 5.0-7.0 sails and getting to the point where I can gybe on the foil. I had been planning on getting the 1000/250 at this point but I now see the range has been increased to include 1200/800 wings and 300/250 stabs. Should I just go ahead with ahead with the 1000/250 or should I consider any of the other sizes?
