Seabreeze.com.au also needs far more self apointed experts on all subjects - especially highly emotional, 'shouty' ones who demonstrate a tendency to get moderators involved.

Moderators a prized skill of the Federal Government.

Ok I wanna know why we never needed immigration to fill some jobs decades ago. Smart kids became doctors and stuff. Some of them made coffee or flipped burgers while at uni. Dumb kids dig holes at 14 and never went to uni. We had a full spectrum.
are aussies now too good so we need servants? If we cut immigration greatly and cut welfare would more Aussies go get the service industry jobs? I dunno just musings but it seems weird everything worked well right up to the last 20-30yrs..?

Aussies are like entitled Rango above struggling to get to the beach. No interest in low paid jobs. $100 an hour for trades is standard here. I have a bachelor degree and 35 year's experience and I do not get that. We live in strange times. Never been better on every metric but they still whinge. Life is good folks look on the bright side.

Yeh sure, ever noticed how many people live in cars now, take a ride down memorial drive at Pt Peron, cost of living ,housing shortage ,ambulance ramping ,hospital wait times.Wrong ,things are not better by every metric.
The trip to the beach time was used to show how our infrastructure cannot cope with the high immigration failed economic model used as a cover for all time low productivity.

Canada fixed its housing crisis by a 25% cut .
Australia relies on a few exports iron ore, coal and gas for national wealth .Dilution of this makes everyone poorer.
And who wants a big Australia anyway.Just trying to get to the beach sux now with traffic.

Commentators should afford him the presumption of innocence as per Australian law and social values and he should be shown the respect a decorated veteran deserves until proven otherwise.

Whatever he did or didnt do needs to be seen through a lense that understands its was a war against an enemy that doesnt play by the rules we impose on our soldiers. They don't wear uniforms, they hide amongst civilians and have no obligations to international rules of war they would respect.

Agreed.
After the Heston Russel witch hunt based on hear say no one really should comment on a trial polluted by the media.

He,s over exaggerating the term ,its more of a distrution of weight .Zero mast foot pressure results in tail walking and out of control too much weight back away from mastfoot, common with first planing experiences in footstraps and harness.

So, where is everyone storing their stockpile of petrol and diesel ?

I have mine tucked away under the stairs right in middle of the house where burglars will not be able to find it.

It is right inbetween the charging point for those e-scooters I got the kids for Christmas from Temu and the last few dozen boxes of my toilet paper stockpile from a few years back........

Seems a good spot - except that I do have to light an incense stick to mask the smell of the fumes.

Anyone got any better locations ?

With the coming shortage of fertilizer I have my diesel stored on top of that ,just to be safe .

Re last two posts - and thats what created quads. They're a slightly detuned twin so make them just a little more secure for normal folks.
that's why many folks use their quad as a twin for onshore stuff, albeit that the fin spacing is not quite optimal

better yet is a trailer setup to fine tune the twin looseness, dunno why only Patrik did it - they work sooo well. I'd buy the starboard twin in a heartbeat even if it was twice that price.

New patrik TS looks fun as with multiple thruster and twinzer fin options .

I do most of my windsurfing in Capetown. Most spots are quite side of, wind is sketchy on the inside going out, but then again can sometime be really severe when on the face of the wave.

Key ingredients for me is floating ability to get out, and control/grip on the face of the wave

Its a win at $330 ,there will be no problems with grip bottom turns are smooth as butter on rail.

I have yet to ride a modern quad that doesn't also work as a twin. Quad for fast waves, twin for mushy waves seems to work for me.

Twins great in fast clean bowley waves with cross off,you can often get more turns .The only conditions they feel sketchy is big or lumpy days with a heap of current.

Agreed, on old footage the Nuevo rips indeed.

I saw this footage of the shaper (James Hooper RIP) and Ben Severne how they liked the surfiness of the board. That all sounds really good, but do you loose out on something else to get this surfiness?

Is a twinzer harder to surf than a quad? Harder to go upwind or to get planing?

Quad is more secure in big surf and probably a little more precise through turns and more fashionable.
Twins have had a big resurgence in surfing disregarding what the cookie cutter pro,s are riding so perhaps windsurfing will follow.

Nuevo good on a wave ,fluid surf style. Not such a great early planer but not bad the evo Iq and kode twin much better in that respect.
10 year old board shapes still rip when compared to new just check footage from that time.

Yeah I'm not sure.. I think he's got a super light density foam with lots of voids in the foam because it's recycled.. I've done a reverse image search and can't find a supplier but there are references to speckled foam online.

the holes seemed to be a reference to making existing boards lighter when being repaired. Lots of small diameter holes would not cause too many undesirable loading issues. bigger holes yes..

on the Facebook page there is loads of fascinating information. He has weight calcs for the layups which gives an insight into the layers and some photos of how he arranges the carbon. plus sketches of where reinforcing occurs.

'what i'm certain is he is constantly evolving and moving forward, experimenting so putting all of this online is just really a capture in time. What is not shared is the resin details and techniques.. lots of weight to be saved there. His thoroughness in planning and recording and attention to detail is fantastic

I can see a lot of similarities to stuff I've been toying with but my technique had not allowed weights I'm trying to hit for hand layups so I'm working through how to Improve that side of things. Like tw I sketch everything out and detail new methodologies before trying them.. design background makes me lean into it.. plus it's fun. I also use surf boxes for front fins in multi finned boards and have no issues with them. The issue is finding 50/50 foiled surf fins.

being a plus size person I've got boards that have lasted 10 years because they were built to last. Double layer high density foam in the right spots etc. but they are too heavy ultimately for what I'm chasing now.. I'd rather a light board. Weight is everything. Boards are more nimble and planing thresholds lower. I truly believe boards have been over engineered not because they can't take the use but because factories have been outputting poorly built boards which keep failing. Name your brand.

Don't know what size fins you need but there are many rear quad sets that are 50/50 foil like the AM,s.
My grom uses a medium quad rear Carver as a center in his thruster as a replacement for the loss of one.
